Structures and materials we take down
Steel portal-frame industrial units and warehouses, including profiled metal cladding, composite panel systems, translucent roof lights and asbestos cement sheeting. Sheeted roofs are the most common asbestos exposure point on North East industrial estates, and they dictate the sequence: sheeting off under control first, frame down second.
Reinforced concrete frames, in-situ and precast, including mezzanine decks, lift pits, service tunnels and thick industrial slabs with heavy mesh. Masonry and brick structures, from Victorian mill buildings through to blockwork infill panels. Timber-framed and part-timber agricultural buildings, Dutch barns and grain stores, where fabric is usually mixed and needs segregating carefully.
Redundant plant and process equipment: racking, conveyors, ovens, silos, pipework, tanks and forecourt installations. Tank and vessel work is treated as decommissioning rather than demolition, cleaned and gas-freed before anything is cut.
