Century Demolition Ltd is a family-run demolition contractor based in Bishop Auckland, working throughout County Durham, Teesside, Tyneside and Yorkshire, and nationwide on contract works. Our team is fully competent for the strip-out and demolition of industrial, commercial and residential buildings, from a single domestic garage through to full industrial sites.

01 Industrial & commercial works

As industrial demolition contractors in the North East we handle redundant factories, warehouses and plant, planning the sequence of works around services isolation, temporary works and dust control. For commercial demolition across Teesside and Tyneside we work to programme alongside principal contractors, and we have carried out major retail soft strip works for national brands including Next and TK Maxx, stripping units back to shell ready for the next fit-out.

02 Asbestos, handled honestly

Century Demolition carries out non-licensed asbestos work in-house with operatives who are CATB asbestos awareness trained, health and safety trained, HS&E tested and face-fit trained. Where licensed asbestos removal is required in County Durham or anywhere else we work, we bring in our trusted licensed specialist partner and coordinate the works so you still have one point of contact. Asbestos cement sheeting on farm buildings, garage roofs and industrial cladding is among the most common work we are called to.

03 Remediation, tanks and waste

Beyond demolition we deliver land remediation across Durham and the wider region, removing contaminated ground, dealing with buried obstructions and crushing suitable material on site to prepare plots for redevelopment. We decommission and remove tanks from petrol forecourts, factories and industrial premises, clear fire-damaged buildings so insurers and surveyors can gain access, and provide waste management including skips, factory clearances, house clearances and fly-tipping removal, all recycled through a licensed recycling facility with documentation provided.
